We are having a cold snap here in NYC. We are all wearing our thickest jackets, even in the subway, even the smallest New Yorkers. Actually he wasn’t that small.

So today being a snow day, Luca and I were in Central Park, sledding, hanging out, and seeing kids Luca knows from school. And with a blanket of snow covering everything it was amazing to see all the patches of yellow snow. Dogs had marked everywhere. I realize that goes on every day, we just can’t see it except on a snow day. So here it is; today was the day I realized, that to a dog, a park is what Facebook is to you and me.

On the interweb I came across a job I did years ago, not long after the Soviet Union keeled over. It was a book review, don’t remember anything else about it. Maybe for The Nation, or Reason Magazine. Circa 1990?
