I was in Paris when Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast, so I ended up spending an extra week there. I spent a lot of time walking around the city and drawing in my sketchbook. The weather was chilly and overcast and it seems to have seeped into the drawings a bit. This was a little courtyard just off of Port Royale.

I do a lot of black-and-white work. But I do like color and have a fantastic view of a park, so I often paint the ever-changing view from my windows.

One of the best things in the world is to go out with friends to a restaurant have a good meal and draw. Something about the camaraderie, food and wine makes for good drawing.
